We’re #GoucherProud of Shelby Meek ’25 for completing their internship with Baltimore Witness. This internship inspired Shelby to 'implement journalistic styles into assignments. If I want to become a journalist or a reporter, I must find ways to work on the skills I have developed at the internship.' 📍 Scotland!Our ICA Scotland students returned earlier this month from their trip abroad. They toured historical sites, delved into natural wonders, participated in highland cultures through dance, and more. For updates on international endeavors, check out our @goucherinternational page! ICYMI: The Intensive Course Abroad (ICA) programs allow students to immerse themselves in foreign cultures and learning for three weeks. 'The Scottish Connection: A Cultural and Artistic Experience' teaches Scottish history, visits the Edinburgh International and Fringe Festivals, and more.

This is thanks to the support from U.S. senators Ben Cardin and Chris Van Hollen and U.S. Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger. ICYMI: The Goucher Prison Education Partnership (GPEP) offers a bachelor’s degree to individuals incarcerated at the Maryland Correctional Institution for Women (MCIW) and the Maryland Correction Institution Jessup (MCIJ).

Gophers leave their mark, no matter where they go. We’re still celebrating our alumnae/i and the ways Goucher shaped their journey. This month’s Global Changemaker is Carol Pino ’14.' Since graduation, I completed a master’s in art history and have worked in the fine art world in New York City for about a decade. I found so many different communities at Goucher, and they all let me explore different passions. My degree from Goucher is a double major in Business Management and Art’s Management with a concentration in Art History, and all of my classes are applicable to what I do on a daily basis.'
